i’m makin’ the baby bag for the hospital?

Identified utilizing Hooded Towels

i am 35 weeks and 5 days pregnant and i am making the baby bag for my infant boy. I have:
4 one-items
three bodysuits
1 outerwear
2 swaddlers
one bottle
one blanket
a great deal of diapers
shampoo&human body wash for him and for me
1video digicam
1camera
one pacifier
one nursing pillow
pads
4 pairs of socks
2-mittens
2 hooded towels
do i require anything at all else???
this is the stuff for him.
BTW, do u believe a 1-piece with the published “punk by no means die” is too much?
i’m dwelling in italy, and here all the girls bring garments for their babies!

You happen to be kidding, appropriate?

If you are in the U.S. then all you need to convey for the child is a going-house outfit.

And if you may be breastfeeding, (you point out a nursing pillow) why would you want to bring a bottle?

    1. Actually, I never used anything out of the bag I packed for my baby except one little onesie, and a small toy. The hospital will provide diapers, and diaper creme, wipes, blankets, even clothing. Most will give him the Soothies pacifiers, and they provide formula if you are formula feeding. If you are breast feeding, you won’t need the bottle, and for formula feeding, you use the bottle the formula comes in.
You probably won’t bathe your baby until the umbilical cord falls off, so you won’t need the shampoo or baby wash or even the towels. You can give him/her a little sponge bath if you choose though.

Not trying to deter you, I packed a ton of stuff, just wanted to share my experience that I never ended up using any of it.
You would be fine to pack one outfit for the Newborn Pictures, a little toy, and some onesies if you want to dress her in her own clothes instead of what the hospital provides.
The mittens and nursing pillow will be good too.

    2. .. I hope this is a joke, but if not.. The hospital provides everything for the baby including formula (not to sure what you are doing since you say nursing pillow and bottle as some moms use a nursing pillow just to hold the little one more easily after having a c-sec), diapers, wipes, blankets, etc. All you need to bring is a going home outfit and maybe one blanket for the car ride home. A pacifier is nice, though some hospitals provide those as well. I would say that bringing a little case of wipes with you is nice too, because the hospital I had my first at used dry wipes and I hated them. You definitely do not need shampoo and body wash for him, as well as hooded towels. .. haha.. so the pads are for the baby?

yeah if you are in the US you won’t need most of that stuff, i would just take the things you need, going home outfit for him, a nursing bra, cameras and what not, but the hospital should have clothes, blankets, bottles, and they will give him a bath.

yeah just a little over the top on the one piece

A little overkill. Don’t worry, I did the same thing. All that was used was:
      2 blankets
      1 swaddler
shampoo & body wash for me
      1 camera
      pad

everything else the hospital should actually provide. My son was a little small so I brought him home in the shirt the hospital dressed him in and a swaddler. Blankets to wrap him up and drape over the car seat (it was February and windy) Shampoo & soap for me in my shower. The camera was a definite must. The pad was only used when I left the hospital since they gave me new ultra thick ones whenever I needed one.
The one-piece “punk never die”? Way tooo cute!

FYI the hospital should provide diapers, wipes, pacifiers (but you can bring a special kind if you want) blankets and bottles. They have the ready made ones. This helps on your load! Im sure you’ll have even more to bring home b/c of gifts and such. I would bring a couple special outfits for pictures, 1 or 2 sleepers and onsies (they have little shirt outfits there as well) socks a hat if its cold where you are a special blanket if you want. I brought my boppe(?) pillow and was glad i did! They will not be taking a bath before they leave the hospital so dont bring any bath stuff. The hospital pretty much has everything you need honestly. Just some outfits and stuff for you is all you really need to worry about. You will regret packing too much! Plus you can take all the extras home with you. (lotion diapers pacifiers whatever they have in the drawers for you) Good luck!

    6. I am just going to pack my stuff this weekend too. I’ve looked up stuff too bring. Usually you don’t need a lot for baby, usually you need mostly for mom. Sounds like too many clothes. You really only need an outfit to bring him home in, I do plan on bringing 2 outfits, one smaller one and one bigger one just in case he doesn’t fit in one of them. You need only 1 blanket, the baby can’t use more than 1. Hospital will provide diapers, so maybe just a few for the ride home, just in case. Don’t think you will need shampoo and stuff for him, they will bath him. He only needs 1 pair of socks. 1 pair of mittens. No hooded towel you won’t really be bathing him. Make sure to bring the chargers for the cameras and/or batteries. I plan on bringing a little hat for him to wear home. Other than that, usually the hospital has the rest of what he will need.
